LYNSEY MCGEE
ARTIST PROFILE
McGee has been working with oils for over ten years. Her work focuses on the complexity of truth in her medium scale paintings of urban lightscapes. She is interested in translating the photograph through painting and memory. Through her work she is exploring the idea that the omission of detail can possibly make an image closer to a real memory. Her paintings reflect on how we interact with life through mobile devices and how we represent and in a sense, recreate our memories through social media by omitting details.
